• Introduce you to Cape Town, the Mother City –take you on a scenic drive through the city to Table Mountain, Signal Hill and the V&A Waterfront
• Take you to the most south westerly tip of Africa – Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point via the stunning Chapman`s Peak Drive and let you meet our little feathered friends – the African Penguins, at Boulders Beach Simons Town
• Show you the beautiful Stellenbosch and surrounding area and let you taste some nice wines, combined with a relaxed lunch and let you discover the town on foot, and visit the well know shop of Uncle Samie
• The Big Five is also found in the Western Cape. Let TJ introduce you to them. There are quite a few private game reserves where you can also stay – Malaria free – and enjoy the freedom of driving on an open 4 x 4 and experience the veld first hand
• Take you on a township tour – see the roots of apartheid and visit Robben Island in the afternoon to see where Mr Mandela spent 18 years of his 27 years in prison
• Visit Hermanus – Whale Capital of SA (Season Jul – Nov) – drive along the stunning eastern shores of False Bay via Betty`s Bay – also a big colony of Penguins – and visit the beautiful Harold Porter Botanical Garden en route
• Shake hands/fins with the Big White in Gansbaai – Shark Cage Diving – TJ will take you there or organize it for you
• Visit the unexplored Western Coast and see the stunning beauty of the flowers of Namakwaland (Jun-Sept)
• Discover the attractiveness of the Garden Route – so much to see and do – one of the most beautiful areas of SA. You can travel with TJ or drive on your own, and fly from Port Elizabeth or drive back to Cape Town via the R62 – the inland route which is a gem of the Western Cape – visit an Ostrich Farm, renown Cango Caves and a natural hot water spring.
• As a national guide TJ also travels all over South Africa and can also take you to Kruger National Park, Swaziland, Kwa-Zulu Natal (Hluhluwe Park), Drakensberg and Eastern Cape
• TJ enjoys traveling with groups/families , but can also arrange a chauffeur driven tour for you in any part of the country
• As a golf lover TJ can also take you to some of the nicest courses in and around Cape Town and Garden Route

Born from Dutch parents in Potchefstroom, South Africa, TJ  did his school education in Stellenbosch, military training in SA Air Force, and studied BA at North West University.

He lives in Stellenbosch, (Wine Capital of SA) – happily married to Anna-Marie, who is a part time teacher, and they have four children.

Regards it as a privilege to live in such a beautiful area.

He is a tour guide since 2004 and loves his work, and to be able to let his guests see and experience, the natural beauty of South Africa and the cultural diversity of the Rainbow Nation.

TJ`s mother tongue is Afrikaans (Die mooiste en lekkerste taal), but he is as fluent in English (Love to speak English)  and Dutch / Flemish  ( Zijn fijne mensen om mee te reizen) and can help himself with German. (Habe meinem Deutsch auf Schule gelernt und spricht es gern).

Living in the area for the past 20 years he loves to take people to different wine estates and introduce them to a variety of wines and the beautiful settings of the farms. You also experience the town and surrounding area in a special way.

The bigger Western Cape is a jewel of South Africa and TJ also loves to take guests to Cape Town for a city tour, visit Table Mountain, do a seal watching boat trip in Hout Bay, and experience the vibrating V&A Waterfront.
Drive along the Peninsula via Chapman`s Peak and visiting Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope and the Penguins at Boulders, is also a must do.

The drive along the eastern shores of False Bay via Betty`s Bay and the Penguin Colony there to Hermanus – Whale Season (July – Nov) and further to Gansbaai  (Shark Capital) is also one of the most scenic drives in the Cape.
If you have a few more days, the Garden Route will expose you to some of the most attractive areas of South Africa.

TJ  is also a national guide and travels the country with smaller and bigger groups/families (Does quite some work for FOX, OAD, TUI and other Companies)  and can also organize self drive/chauffeur driven tours.

South Africa is sometimes described as the World in one Country because of the enormous variety in natural and cultural beauty. The national anthem – Nkosi Sikelel` iAfrica – May God bless Africa – we have also experienced in the way God has led us to a peaceful solution after years of Apartheid and discrimination.
